The University of Nebraska - Lincoln is bringing together outstanding undergraduate researchers in Physics for a three-day conference, from Friday, October 30th through Sunday, November 1st. You are invited to take part in this unique opportunity to expand upon your current research experiences, interact with physics students from other universities, and attend scientific talks given by invited physicists from other Midwestern universities.

UD CHARM joins Princeton University’s Center for Complex Materials to host a one-day symposium to promote early-career researchers in the field of Soft Matter. Participation will bring together faculty, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students and senior undergrads from around the United States, with a focus on those from under-represented groups, to celebrate diversity and creativity in this emerging field.

Meeting Goals:Increase the community’s knowledge of STEM education research and diversity issues. New.Mech is a one-day workshop designed to bring together New England’s Mechanics community looking to explore new research and share advancements in the field. This workshop — co-hosted by Harvard MRSEC — will not only include keynote presentations and three-minute talk sessions but will also provide participants with the opportunity to display their own demos. The University of Colorado, Boulder will host the Frontiers of Photoactive Soft Matter Workshop -- a two-day event focusing on advances in soft materials that are responsive to light.
